Quick Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a safari with Jamela Safaris?+
Start with the planning form — tell us your dates, party and comfort level. A safari specialist replies within 24 hours with an honest proposal, we refine it together, and a deposit confirms your lodges and vehicle. No payment is taken before you have an itinerary you love.
When is the best time to visit Tanzania?+
There is no single answer — only the best time for what you want. June to October is the classic dry season with peak game viewing and river crossings; January to March brings calving season and superb big-cat action; April and May are green, quiet and excellent value. Tell us your priorities and we will be honest about the trade-offs.
Are your safaris really private?+
Yes — every departure uses your own 4×4 Land Cruiser and dedicated professional guide. You never share a vehicle with strangers, and the day’s pace, stops and sighting time are entirely yours.
How do payments work, and are they secure?+
We confirm bookings with a deposit (typically 30%) and the balance is due before travel. Payment is by bank transfer or card, with clear invoices at every step and no hidden extras — the price we quote is the price you pay.
Is a safari suitable for children or less mobile travelers?+
Very much so, with the right design. Private vehicles make family pacing easy, many lodges have family rooms and pools, and game drives require no fitness at all. Tell us about your group — including any mobility needs — and we will build the route and choose the lodges around them.
Is Tanzania safe for travelers?+
Tanzania is one of Africa’s most stable and welcoming safari destinations, and the tourism routes are very well established. You travel with a professional local guide throughout, our team is on call 24/7, and every safari includes Flying Doctors emergency evacuation cover as standard.
